This was our first experience in building a custom home and understood that choosing the right builder would be essential to the project.  After numerous interviews with various builders, Chad and his team at Kasteel was the natural choice to build our new home.  From the moment we all met, we were impressed with his attention to detail, his ability to listen (and laugh) and his professional approach to home building.  But most of all, we knew we could trust him and that made all the difference to us.

His detailed bid was fully transparent and easy to understand.  As he and his team began construction, we could not be there to oversee or check on the building process as we lived six hours away and were concerned, we might miss something.  Chad took care of any concerns by updating us weekly with full written report of progress (with pictures) so we always knew what stage we were at in the building process.

Our relationship with Chad grew stronger as the project progressed and his pride in his profession as well as his personal integrity became more and more obvious.  We are thrilled with our new home and the entire Kasteel building experience, thanks to Chad and his strong team.

When we initially started ramping up for the large renovation of our Lake Blue Ridge home, I had a different builder in mind.  I decided to meet with Chad since he was doing a large amount of building in my area.  His product was high quality and I was looking for a builder who seemed flexible, not always needing to do everything his way. Flexibility and willingness to work with me to create a really custom project with a lot of changes on the fly, but also there to make strong recommendations when needed to guide the project on the right direction and make sure I made smart choices.

Right off the bat he saved me a lot of money and heartache by convincing me there was a better/more cost efficient way to design the garage and master closet additions than the original plans.  He was right and I was thankful for his guidance and that he cared to get me "the best bang for the buck" whenever he could throughout the project.   His billing/invoicing is extremely well organized, transparent, and he is always fair and responsive if there are any discrepancies or questions - he is a trustworthy, high character builder.  Our weekly meetings with Chad and my project supervisor Mike, were productive and fun and we still keep in touch.  I highly recommend Chad and the Kasteel Crew.
